Quarter of a Century Year Old!

Hello!
I am now 25 years old, a quarter of a century. Time sure does fly by quickly. I feel like each year of my life goes by quicker than the year before! It is kind of scary, before I know it I'll be half a century year old!
I had a great day! My kids were so sweet, they made me birthday cards and spoiled me with all kinds of cute stuff, like book worm socks, a cute little chalkboard, gift cards and 3 tubs of chick fil a sauce! I got some pretty flowers from my parents and some new nike shoes from Zach. Then we went to dinner with my parents and Nick. Even though I had a great day, my poor sister did not. She had the flu :(. It made for some fun pictures.
 The yummy birthday cupcakes!
A couple of my adorable gifts!
 Me and the sick-o!
Have to keep the germs away

Silhouette "Fun"

Hello friends and family!

This weekend has been fun! We stayed home for once! As a result, my house is still a wreck, cause I felt like doing absolutely nothing!

I decided to get the silhouette cameo to help me decorate and do fun things for parties, and my sisters upcoming wedding! We got a lot of stuff done this weekend for the wedding, and I was able to book a photo booth for the wedding! I'm really excited about that (Bekah is too, don't worry!) My new toy made me upset very quickly though. I don't know what happened, but it got messed up and was not cutting correctly. It also totally cut through the cutting mat, made a huge mess and made me look like a crazy person in front of my father in law. I literally threw the mat on the ground and stomped off to the bedroom and closed the door cause I was so mad at my machine! Zach was so sweet, I could hear him trying to make it work after I went to bed. It didn't work, but it was sweet that he tried, especially after I threw a huge fit. I came home today, and fiddled with it and it started working again. Hopefully it continues to work so I don't have to exchange it for a new one, aint' nobody got time for that. Below are some pictures of my new toy when I first got it, and then after, when I got mad at it and made a huge mess.

The damage my cameo did to the edge of my new cutting mat.
More damage...
 The huge mess I made.
I'm on this kick where I am trying to work out and eat better and lose some weight. As a result, I have decided to use protein powder to make protein shakes for the first time in my life! I'll let you know how that works! So far they are pretty tasty though, which is half the battle. I have been drinking them after work outs and then for breakfast in the morning on days I don't work out. It is supposed to help my muscles recover and do some other stuff that leads to a healthier body, so we'll see! I bought some canisters to put them in because the protein power cans are huge, plastic, and ugly. I copied my friend, who does something similar, and put chalk label sticks on the canisters so I know which one is what.
I took a picture of this because it is what my Siri told me when I told her thank you for looking up an answer to a question I had. This is the first time I have used my Siri, so I thought it was pretty funny!

New Years Eve...Late

Hello!
I know New Years has past, but I still wanted to make a post about my New Years Eve!
Our friend Peter came to visit us all the way from Italy for the week, and he came in New Years! So we woke up early and picked him up. We then had lunch with some friends and then came home and prepared for the party!
I searched online and found some games and activities that we could do! We ended up popping a balloon every hour, and in each balloon was a new activity to do for that hour that pertained to the year 2013. It had things like pop culture trivia, matching games and placing events from 2013 in order. It was a lot of fun! It ended up being a much bigger party than we originally planned, but it was still fun! Below are some pictures of our party! It's kind of a tradition that I always have a "photo booth" at my parties because I love to take pictures!
Pictures with the bestie!!

Girls photo shoot!
 My girl Kelsey!! :)
 Me and Sweet Sarah!
 Me and the hubs
TWO friends that came into town to visit! Peter, our friend from Italy is in the top, and Scott, our friend from Alaska, is in the bottom.
 John and Spencer
 The Ishmaels and Reyes'
 Jen and Sarah
The other Ishmaels and Cam and Sarah
Wolfie and Stephen.
If you can't tell, I make EVERYONE take pictures with me, with multiple props, angles and faces.
Anywho, we had a great weekend. I then had to clean up all my Christmas stuff :(. This made me sad.
All my favorite things, packed away and bags and boxes, until next year...
I've seriously been in a funk though since I've taken my Christmas things down, Christmas really does brighten my spirits! I probably won't get out of it until my birthday in two weeks! ;).
We leave tomorrow to visit Zach's grandparents, so maybe I'll have some fun to post later!

BlogLovin'

Okay! So, I am trying to get my blogs on the app and website "bloglovin". It is telling me that I need to copy and paste this into my post, lets see if this works!

Our friends, Ryan and Kelsey, came over tonight for some dinner, cause they wouldn't let us buy them dinner! I also got some of our pictures from them, so I'll post a few. Ryan edited some, but he said they were at his house. Maybe I can get them on Friday when we see them, cause he said they look a lot better! For now, I have just edited them with instagram. I really love that app, I know all photographers will hate me for saying that. Anyhoo, below are some of our favorite shots! Ryan did a good job!

These are our friends we went with, Kelsey and Ryan.
Well! I feel very accomplished for already having three posts up! That's a good start to my new years resolution, let's see if I can keep this up! :)
Thanks for checkin' in!

I'm Off to a Good Start!

Look at me! Another post!
My first post was actually like 15 minutes ago, but I wanted to play around with the fonts and colors and such before I posted again. Does this mean that I am caught up on my blog posting for 2 weeks now? I guess I'll count it if I fall behind, then I will still be making my new years resolution!
Those that know me, know that I love the holidays, but I especially LOVE Christmas. I have got all my decorations packed away in the attic now, and I can't help but feel blue. Christmas time really does keep me jolly! I'm excited for next year though, I have decided to add another tree to the family, a teacher tree! I will put all my teacher ornaments and hand made ornaments my kids give me over the years on this tree. It will be topped with a stereotypical red apple, with glitter of course! At least I have something to look forward to, right?
This weekend was a fun one, we went to go visit our friend, Kelsey's, grandparents. We went with her and her husband because the boys wanted to hunt on Papa Don's farm. We went shopping while they did that. We also went to, seriously, THE BEST steakhouse for dinner. It's called Perini's. It seriously makes me regret my decision to go to Harding instead of ACU. If I had known such a place existed, I just may have gone to ACU! I'm not a big steak person, but their burgers are seriously the BEST thing that I have ever put in my mouth. Last time we went, I split one with Kelsey, I told her then, "Next time, I'm not splitting with you, I'm getting my own", and so I did! Zach and I went ahead and bought their cookbook so we can have that recipe, as well the recipe for their yummy potatoes and bread pudding!
While we were there, Ryan took some photos of us so we can hang em on our walls! I'm excited to get them printed and hung up, maybe if I'm feeling motivated that will be before it gets too warm and the pictures have to wait until next season to be put up. I decided I will alternate certain family photos throughout the year to match the season. These pictures will do for fall/winter (until I get winter pictures), I also have bluebonnet pictures and sunflower pictures for the spring and summer. I plan on getting two or three printed pretty big on a canvas to hang on the walls! I'll have to post some to my new blog once I get them from Ryan!

I'm off, thanks for checkin' in!

Happy New Year!

Hello!
This is my first post to my new blog, our family blog. I have a teacher blog, but I wanted to start a new one! My idea is that my blog will be a fun place to document the memories that we make, as well as share my memories with friends and family that do not live near by!

Since this is a new year, I have made a few new years resolutions! One of them was to start this blog, my goal is to post to one of my blogs once a week! Let's see how that goes, I've had my teacher blog since school started in August and I think I only have 4 posts! I will try harder this year! Another goal of mine is to eat better, work out and ultimately lose some weight and get fit. I even bought myself a little present, that I can only use when at the gym. It's a fancy heart monitor watch, you have to wear a heart rate monitor on under you chest to get a good read, and it then gives you an accurate read on how many calories you have burned throughout your work out. I am hoping this will help keep me motivated! My father-in-law, Nick, gave me a gift card to Academy for Christmas, because he knew I wanted one, he's so sweet! I also got a cookbook to help me meet my goals, they are all recipes with 300 calories or less. I've realized I have to buy myself things in order to achieve my goals, ha! Whatever it takes, right?!

Well, I'll sign off for now! Thanks for checkin' in!
